Crossword Puzzle Clue

Greetings, offspring and recently acquired relatives.

Mom & I are in SV and wouldn't you know it, we are doing crosswords and other puzzles.

Here's a clue that had us going:

"Second person in the Bible."

Have at it. First correct answer wins slightly undercooked pancakes with real syrup at the earliest opportunity. We wanted to make it worth the effort.

How many letters?

Unforgivable omission. Sorry about that.

Four letters.

Thou

The correct answer is "Thee", but Mom agreed that Ryan wins.

Well, sure Ryan won. He was, in fact, the only person who ventured a guess. Despite this reality, I'd appreciate a green ribbon with "Participant" in gold lettering on the front.

In this case, "Participant" could be understood to mean "One who undervalues Mom's pancakes and syrup by not competing for them". If you want Gold & Green, go to a Church dance. Maybe they'll serve pancakes.

The competition was decidedly unfair. By the time we pacific coast folks awoke and found the questioner to have finally provided the requisite number of letters needed, the east coast folks had obviously been up for hours researching the topic. Thus, by virtue of geographic time differences, the victory was all but won before the contest began.
