Nancy gets to attend church in the morning. I don't know the particulars of her tour, but if she gets to attend the LDS ward/branch, my parents say that it is very interesting. There's a ward for foreigners and a ward for natives.

In the afternoons, they'll be touring the Hutongs—quadrangles built around Beijing's Forbiddien City (some more than 700 years old).

2 hours in Seoul, Korea

Nancy has a 2 hour lay over in Seoul and then arrives in Xi'an at 10:50 p.m. I don't think she'll see much of the city that day.

In one month

Nancy will be departing for China. I was excited to receive her itinerary and explanations of some of the things that she will see in the mail. Since Nancy will likely be too busy seeing the other side of the world to keep us updated on her travels, (and as I had also recently discovered the thrill of finding gorgeous photos of specific locations on flickr) I thought that we could have a pre-celebration of her trip on the blog. So, each day for the next 9 days, I'll post a picture/s of the things Nancy will be seeing next month in China. So, here's the first one: she'll be flying out of LAX in one month.
