Tiananmen Square is huge! I'm standing in front of Mao's tomb. We didn't go in. The tall pillar structure is like our Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The large building is their legislative-type building. Everything on the square is either a museum or a government building. All tour groups had a flag - ours was blue - and many wore hats. We didn't, but we did have a name tag. It was awesome to be there - so much history. Nearly everyone there was a tourist, including the Chinese guy with the victory sign.
