Fires in SoCal
I tried to describe to Mom and Dad on the phone what the sky looks like out here--especially now that there is a second firestorm in the OC where we live, and not just in Northern LA County. Unfortunately, words just don't do it justice, so here is a picture from a photo gallery of the OC firestorms in the Sunday LA Times (there are 3 such storms going on right now out here):

Remember, when burning a book of mormon, don't just toss it out the window.
Fire is so frightening to me. I took a picture of the sun at midday during the fire last year in Ketchum. It's one of my favorite pictures.
